James C. Stalder has over 40 years of experience in providing tax consulting, valuation, and financial planning for corporate and individual clients in a variety of industries, with an emphasis on manufacturing and real estate. He is a certified public accountant, the former managing partner of the Pittsburgh office of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP and the former Dean of the Graduate and Undergraduate Schools of Business of Duquesne University.
Stalder serves as a member of the Advisory Board of Commonwealth Capital Group, a director at Koppers Inc., and a Director of C-cor Inc.. He is the Chairman and Member of the Board at the Greater Pittsburgh Chamber of Commerce and St. Clair Hospital. He is a Life Member of the Board of Trustees of Carnegie Mellon University, and a Member of the Board at the Smeal College Alumni Society of the Pennsylvania State University and Idea Foundry.
Stalder is a Member of the AICPA Council and as the Past President and Member of the Council of Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He served for 20 years as an Adjunct Professor at Carnegie Mellon's business school and has lectured in taxation at the University of Pittsburgh. He is a frequent Lecturer, a Member of numerous community and professional organizations, and sits on the Board of Directors of several companies. As a CPA, Stalder has special expertise in the area of taxation. He earned a B.S. in Accounting from The Pennsylvania State University and is a graduate of the Amos Tuck Executive Program of Dartmouth College.
